How Living Bread Uses AI

Living Bread uses technology, including AI, to help people find God and one another. It also believes technology should make it easier to find a human, not easier to replace one. Here is how we hold that line.

AI assists; it does not impersonate

We use AI where it reduces friction: search, translation, entity resolution, summarization, recommendations, moderation help. We do not let AI pretend to be God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, a priest, a pastor, a therapist, or a person's deceased loved one.

The direction is always outward

When AI helps someone here, the aim is to lead them onward: to Scripture, to prayer, to a person, to a church, to a community. AI is a signpost, not a destination, and never a substitute for the body of Christ.

The algorithm does not decide who you are

Prediction is built on your past. The Christian conviction is that a person can repent, be forgiven, and become new. So we design for fresh starts: you can reset recommendations, leave old groups, and begin again. Data has a memory; grace has a future.

Transparency

Where AI meaningfully shapes what you see, we aim to say so. We distinguish Living Bread editorial content, organization-provided information, community contributions, and public data, so that both people and machines can tell what they are reading.
