Whatever drove you out, the door back is still open, and it opens without shame. Reconsidering is not a defeat or a failure of nerve. In Jesus' most famous story, the one who left is the one the father runs to meet.

Jesus told a story about exactly this: a son who took what he could and left, and a father who never stopped watching the road. When the son came back, he was braced for a lecture and got an embrace.
