This seven-day plan is made for children, or for parents to read with them. Each day is a favorite Bible story that shows, in a way kids can understand and love, how big, strong, and kind God is. Read one a day, talk about it together, and help a child begin a friendship with the God who loves them.

The plan, day by day
Day 1
God made the whole world, the light, the seas, the animals, and you. Everything begins with a good and powerful God.
Day 2
God is like a shepherd who takes care of His sheep. He watches over you and keeps you safe.
Day 3
Daniel prayed to God even when it was scary, and God kept him safe in the lions' den. God is with us when we are afraid.
Day 4
Jonah ran away from God, but God still loved him and gave him another chance. God never stops loving us.
Day 5
Young David trusted God and defeated the giant Goliath. God can help us do big things when we trust Him.
Day 6
Jesus was born as a baby in Bethlehem. God loved us so much He came to earth to be with us.
Day 7
Jesus welcomed the children and blessed them. He loves you and wants you to come to Him.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.

Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not. He loves children and welcomes them just as they are. Every story in this plan is a doorway to knowing Him, the God who is powerful enough to rule the whole world and gentle enough to hold a child in His arms.

How do I help my child understand the Bible?
