يقول بولس إن الروح يمنح المواهب، موزعًا لكل واحد كما يشاء، من أجل الخير العام وبناء الجسد. النبوة والتعليم، الخدمة والعطاء، الرحمة والقيادة، الحكمة والشفاء. كل صفحة أدناه توضح ما هي الموهبة وكيف تخدم الكنيسة، وكل واحدة منها مؤطرة بإصرار بولس نفسه على أنه بدون المحبة، فإن أعظم موهبة لا تعني شيئًا. حيث يختلف المسيحيون حول ما إذا كانت موهبة ما تستمر اليوم، نقول ذلك بصدق.
