In short
Christians believe in one God who exists eternally as three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Not three gods, and not one Person in three masks, but one God in three, perfect in love and unity. The Trinity is a mystery, but not a contradiction: one God, three Persons, sharing one divine nature. It means God has always been love, the Father, Son, and Spirit loving one another before the world began, and that love now reaches out to include you.
You do not have to grasp it fully to be grasped by the God who is love.
