How do I read the Bible?

In short

Start with a Gospel, such as John, to meet Jesus, then read a little each day, prayerfully and in order. Ask what it shows about God, about people, and about Christ. The goal is not information but knowing Him.

You do not have to start at page one. Begin with the story of Jesus in the Gospel of John, read a short passage daily, and ask God to open your eyes. A simple rhythm, a few verses, a moment of prayer, one thing to obey, will take you far.

Reading the Bible is meant to be a meeting, not a task.

What Scripture says

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
