You Do Not Have to Believe Yet

You do not have to believe yet to read about Jesus. Faith is not a password you must produce before you are allowed to look. You can come unsure, unconvinced, even doubtful, and simply see for yourself. Jesus never demanded certainty at the door. He said, come and see, and he was patient with those who were still finding their way.

You can read here privately. You do not have to change your identity, tell anyone what you believe, or create an account. Nothing is asked of you, and nothing is decided today. You are simply welcome to come and see who Jesus is.

Faith is not the price of admission

Sometimes people feel they are not allowed to read about Jesus until they already believe, as if belief were a ticket you must buy first. It is the other way around. You look, and belief, if it comes, comes from looking. You are welcome to begin exactly where you are: unsure, hesitant, or simply curious.

When Jesus first called his followers, he did not ask them to be certain of anything. He said, “come and see,” and let what they saw do its own gentle work.

Honesty is welcome

One father brought his child to Jesus and admitted, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Jesus did not rebuke his half-faith. He helped him. You can be that honest too. You do not have to pretend, and you do not have to arrive at an answer today.

Can I read about Jesus if I do not believe in God?

Yes. You are welcome to read as someone who is unsure, or who does not believe. Looking is not agreeing, and Jesus welcomed people wherever they were starting from.

What if my faith is very small or mixed with doubt?

That is enough to begin. A man once told Jesus, 'Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief' (Mark 9:24), and Jesus helped him. Honesty about doubt is welcome, not a problem.
