You are not alone
You Are Not Alone
Grief and loneliness are different wounds, but they share a lie: that you are alone in it. You are not. The God of the Bible draws near to the broken-hearted and sets the solitary in families. Whatever brought you here, you are seen, and there is comfort, hope, and real connection waiting for you.
Maybe you are grieving someone you cannot get back, or maybe you are just so tired of feeling unseen. Both kinds of ache can make the world feel very empty. Please hear this gently: the emptiness is real, but the aloneness is not the whole truth. You have not been forgotten.
You do not have to sort out which wound you have, or fix anything tonight. You only have to know you are not as alone as it feels, and that there is somewhere to turn.
Near to the broken, a family for the lonely
Two promises run through the whole Bible, one for each of these wounds. To the grieving: God is near the broken-hearted. To the lonely: God makes families for the solitary.
These are not slogans; they are the shape of who God is. He weeps with the grieving and gathers the lonely into a people. That second part is where hope becomes touchable: The Living Bread exists to connect you with real people, to pray with, to serve alongside, to belong to. You do not have to carry grief or loneliness by yourself anymore.
A short prayer
God, I feel alone, in my grief, in my loneliness, in all of it. You are near to the broken-hearted and you set the solitary in families. Draw near to me now, and lead me to your people. Amen.
You were made for people
The Christian hope is not only about God. It is about being drawn into a family. The Living Bread is a place to begin finding that: real people praying for one another, serving one another, and walking together. You do not have to be impressive, or interesting, or have your life together. You only have to show up, and let yourself be known a little.

Questions people ask
- I'm grieving. Where should I start?
- Begin with the grief pages: they meet the pain first, without rushing you, and then offer the Christian hope that death is not the end. Reading about Jesus weeping at a grave (John 11) comforts many, and you can always ask someone to pray with you.
- I'm lonely, not grieving. Is there help here for that too?
- Yes. The loneliness pages address why loneliness happens and, most importantly, how to find real community, believers to pray with and serve alongside. The Living Bread is built to help you take that first step toward belonging.
- What does it mean that 'you are not alone'?
- Two things: that God draws near to the broken-hearted and never forsakes his own (Psalm 34:18), and that he gathers lonely people into a family (Psalm 68:6). It is both his presence and his people, and both are within reach.
