You are here because you were made on purpose, not by accident. The Christian answer is quiet and steady: you were made to know God who loves you, and to love the people around you. People ask ‘why am I here’ from very different places. Sometimes it is wonder. Often it is weariness, a night when nothing seems to add up and you wonder whether it would matter if you were gone. If that is where you are, please stay, and please be gentle with yourself. The question you are asking is not a sign that something is wrong with you. It is one of the most human things there is, and it deserves a real answer.
The Christian answer
Christians believe you are here because a good God made you and wanted you. You are not a cosmic accident or a mistake. And when Jesus was asked what life is finally for, he gave a strikingly simple answer: love God, and love the person next to you.
Notice what that does. It puts purpose within reach of everyone, today. You do not need a platform, a title, or an extraordinary story. A parent, a nurse, a student, a person who simply shows up kindly for others, all of it is a full and dignified life in God’s eyes.
