Who Was Melchizedek in the Bible?
Melchizedek was the mysterious king of Salem and priest of God Most High who blessed Abraham with bread and wine, foreshadowing an eternal priesthood.
Melchizedek appears suddenly in Genesis as both a king and a priest of the Most High God, meeting Abraham after battle with bread and wine and a blessing. Abraham gave him a tenth of everything, honoring his unique standing.
