When Everything Is Changing
When everything around you is changing at once, the disorientation is real and exhausting. You are not weak for wanting something solid to stand on. In the middle of the shifting, people have long found one anchor that does not move: the steady, unchanging love of God, who stays the same when your job, your address, your relationships, and even your sense of yourself are all in motion.
What you may be feeling
Change all at once has a particular ache. Even good changes cost something, and several together can leave you grieving and hopeful in the same breath. You may feel unsteady, tearful over small things, unsure who you are becoming. That is not a lack of faith. It is the honest weight of a lot moving at once.
Something that holds still
When the ground moves, you look for a handhold that does not. The oldest Christian answer is that God himself is that handhold: not a feeling that comes and goes, but a faithfulness that stays.
And change is not only loss. Sometimes it is the ground being cleared for something you cannot see yet.
You do not have to have it figured out. You only have to hold on to the One who is holding on to you, one day at a time.
