What Does the Bible Say About Disappointment?

The Bible is honest that life brings disappointment, hope deferred that makes the heart sick, yet it anchors us in a God who never disappoints those who trust him. His promises do not fail even when our plans do, and hope in him does not put us to shame. Disappointment is real, but it is not the end of the story God is writing.
