The kingdom of God is not mainly a place but a reign, God's kingship at work. Jesus announced that this kingdom had drawn near in Him, bringing healing, forgiveness, and the toppling of evil. Wherever God's rule is welcomed, His kingdom comes.
It arrives in an unexpected way: not by force but like a seed, quietly growing; not first in palaces but among the humble. It is already here in part, and it will one day be here in full, when God makes all things right.

Kingdom of God and Jesus
Jesus is the King, and the kingdom comes wherever He is welcomed as Lord. He brought God's reign near in His words and works, secured it at the cross, and will complete it when He returns. To enter the kingdom is simply to bow to the King.
