In the ancient world a disciple was an apprentice who followed a teacher closely, not just to gather information but to become like the master. To be a disciple of Jesus is to follow Him with your whole life, learning to see, love, and live as He does.
Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him and then sent His followers to make more disciples. Discipleship is not a class you graduate from; it is a lifelong walk, marked above all by love, that anyone can begin today.
