How this connects to Jesus

Overcome anger by love, evil by good, the greedy by giving, the liar by truth. Paul wrote almost the same words: do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). Both call us to answer harm with grace; the Gospel adds that God first answered our harm with grace, at the cross.
