I Need Hope

If you need hope, you are not weak for needing it, and you do not have to generate it by force of will. Hope, in the Christian story, is something you can receive. You can ask for it honestly, even from a dark place, and Scripture calls God the very source of it.

If this is you. When you are out of hope, ordinary encouragement can feel hollow. This is not that. This is permission to be honest about how thin things feel, and an invitation to ask for more than you can make yourself.

The Bible does not hand out cheap hope. It roots hope in the character of a God who keeps his promises, who brought life out of a grave, and who is called, plainly, the God of hope.
