How to Wait on God
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith, and one of the most fruitful. To wait on God is not passive; it is active, hopeful trust while He works.
Remember who you are waiting for
You are not waiting on an indifferent universe but on a good and faithful God who is never late and never forgets.
“It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”Lamentations 3:26, King James Version
Keep bringing it to Him in prayer
Waiting does not mean going silent. Keep talking to God about the very thing you are waiting for.
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.”Psalm 27:14, King James Version
Trade your strength for His
Waiting drains us, but God renews the ones who wait on Him. Let Him carry what you cannot.

Stay faithful in the meantime
Do the next right thing while you wait. Faithfulness in small things is how we honor God in the delay.

Trust His timing
God's delays are not His denials. He is often doing unseen work in you and around you that only waiting could accomplish.

The One who makes this possible: Jesus
Jesus knows what it is to wait, and He waits with you now. The same Lord who will one day set everything right is present in the delay, holding you. Waiting on God is really waiting with God, and the One you wait for has already proven His love at the cross.
