How to Teach Your Kids About Jesus
Passing faith on to your children is one of the most lasting gifts you can give them. It happens less through lectures and more through love, story, and everyday life together.
Let them see it in you first
Children learn faith by watching. Your own real, joyful walk with Jesus teaches more than any lesson.

Tell them the stories
Share the stories of the Bible, especially the life of Jesus, in ways they can picture and love. Story sticks.

Weave it into ordinary moments
Talk about God at bedtime, at meals, on the drive, when they hurt or wonder. Faith belongs in daily life, not just Sundays.

Pray with them and for them
Teach them to talk to God by praying together simply, and cover them in your own prayers.

Show them grace, not just rules
Let them know God's love is not earned. When they fail, model the mercy of the Father, so faith feels like good news.

The One who makes this possible: Jesus
Above everything, you want your children to know Jesus Himself, not just facts about Him. He welcomed children with open arms and said the kingdom belongs to such as them. Your job is not to save them, only He can do that, but to introduce them, again and again, to the One who loves them even more than you do.
Love is meant to be shared. You can find people near you, share the good news, or pray for the one on your heart.

How do I teach my child about Jesus?
Let them see your own faith, tell them the Bible's stories, especially about Jesus, weave God into ordinary moments, and pray with them. Show them grace rather than only rules, so faith feels like the good news it is.
At what age should I start teaching my kids about God?
You can begin from the earliest years with simple stories, songs, and prayers, growing deeper as they do. Jesus welcomed even little children, and faith woven into everyday family life from the start takes lasting root.
What if my child asks questions I cannot answer?
It is good to admit you do not know and to search it out together, showing that faith welcomes honest questions. Point them to Jesus, keep the conversation open, and let your love and example carry what words cannot.
