Living Water Relay
Fast, loud, joyful. Keep the well full. Fast, loud and joyful, for a group on one shared screen. Two teams, two wells, sixty seconds each. Every right answer draws the well higher; go quiet and it runs dry. And every so often the well fills not by knowledge but by honesty, when the game pauses and asks someone to name their thirst.

How to play
- Gather two teams around one phone or a screen: the Aqua Well and the Gold Well.
- Start the round. A question appears with four answers; the team shouts and one person taps.
- A right answer raises the well; a wrong one lowers it a little; silence drains it every second.
- Every fifth right answer the game pauses with a thirst prompt: name something you are thirsty for, out loud, and the well leaps.
- When the clock ends, the other team takes its turn.
- Both wells are poured into one at the end, overflowing, because living water was never a competition.
A session, start to finish
Set the phone on the table, name the two teams, and start the clock. The first questions are easy and the room is loud; by the thirtieth second someone has answered wrong twice and the well is dropping. Then the thirst prompt stops everything, one person says something true, and the well leaps past where knowledge could take it. The second team goes. At the end both wells pour into one, and nobody remembers who was ahead.
The Scripture it stands on
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 7:38, King James Version
What it forms in you
Joy in the room and the courage to say a true thing out loud in front of friends. The mechanic quietly teaches that honesty fills the well faster than being right.
Who it is for
Youth groups, family nights, small groups that need to laugh before they pray, and any table with two teams and one phone.
A reflection
The well ran dry when you went quiet and filled when someone named their thirst. Where are you thirsty, and who could you say it to this week?
Questions people ask
How many people can play?
As many as can see the screen. Two teams take turns; the whole room shouts.
What is a thirst prompt?
A pause where one person names something they long for, honestly. It fills the well more than any answer.
Who wins?
No one. Both wells become one overflowing well at the end, on purpose.
