The word epiphany means a showing, or an unveiling. On this day the church remembers that the child of Bethlehem was not a hidden secret but a light meant to be seen by everyone, near and far. The wise men came from another land, from outside the family of Israel, and were welcomed to worship. The good news was always for all people.
