Today’s Bread: John 16:33

John 16:33

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 · King James Version (public domain)

Today’s reflection

The rain beats against the window. It’s relentless, just like the weight in your chest. Some days, the world feels like too much. But hear this: there’s a quiet strength in the storm. Christ stands on the other side, untouched. His victory is our quiet hope, even when the clouds seem dark.

Pray this today

I’m tired, Lord. The weight feels heavy today. I don’t know how to be cheerful when everything feels so hard. But I trust you’ve walked through it all. Help me see your light in this. Amen.
