Today’s reflection
Our fiercest battles often happen in the mind, where lies, fears, and accusations pile up like fortresses against the truth. God calls us to notice those thoughts and bring each one under the authority of Christ, refusing to let them rule us. This is not white-knuckle willpower but surrender, letting His truth dismantle what exalts itself against Him. Jesus is Lord over your inner world too. As you hand Him your racing thoughts, His peace and truth begin to reshape the way you think and live.
Pray this today
Father, as I carry self-control today, let this word from 2 Corinthians 10:5 be more than ink on a page. Make it true in me. Quiet what is anxious, steady what is shaking, and draw me nearer to Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
