Reincarnation and Resurrection
Hinduism teaches reincarnation (samsara): the eternal soul (atman) passes through many bodies across many lives, carrying its karma, until it attains liberation. Unlike Buddhist rebirth, this is a real soul that transmigrates. Christianity teaches that each person lives once, then faces God, and that the hope is resurrection, the same person raised bodily and made new for eternal life with God.
What Hindu tradition says
The soul is imperishable, and it moves from body to body, as the Gita famously pictures it:
Driven by karma, the atman is reborn again and again through the cycle of samsara until it reaches liberation (moksha). Because Hinduism affirms an enduring self, this is genuinely reincarnation, a soul passing on, unlike the Buddhist idea of rebirth without a self.
What Christianity says
Christianity teaches one life, then judgment, and then resurrection, the person raised and made new.

Both hold that death is not the end, that the soul or person endures, and that how one lives has consequences beyond the grave.
