Many Orthodox churches celebrate the birth of Christ on January 7, because they follow the older Julian calendar. It is the same joy the whole church shares, that God so loved the world he came into it as a child, kept on a different date.
How it is celebrated
A long fast leads up to it, ending with a Holy Supper on Christmas Eve as the first star appears, followed by the Nativity liturgy and feasting with family.
