A Bible reading plan for
When Your Faith Feels Weak
7 days for a small faith
When your faith feels thin and uncertain, take heart: Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed is enough. This seven-day plan sits with honest strugglers in Scripture and shows that what saves you is not the strength of your faith but the strength of the One you are trusting, who holds you even when your grip is weak.
“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”Mark 9:24 (KJV)
The plan, day by day
Day 1
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. This honest half-prayer is welcomed and answered by Jesus.
Day 2
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Read the long line of ordinary people who trusted God and were held.
Day 3
If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed. It is not the size of your faith but the size of your God that matters.
Day 4
Peter walks on water, then sinks, and Jesus catches him. Even failing faith is caught by a faithful Lord.
Day 5
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart. When your faith fails, He does not.
Day 6
Abraham was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Faith grows as it looks at the promises, not at the obstacles.
Day 7
If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself. His faithfulness holds even your faltering faith.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
The father who cried, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief, brought his weak faith to Jesus, and Jesus answered it. That is the good news: you do not have to work up strong faith before you come. You bring your small, shaky faith to a strong Savior, and He holds on to you when you can barely hold on to Him.

What does the Bible say about weak faith?
It is remarkably gentle with it. Jesus welcomed the man who prayed, help thou mine unbelief (Mark 9:24), and said mustard-seed faith is enough (Luke 17:6). 2 Timothy 2:13 says even when we are faithless, He remains faithful. What saves you is not the strength of your faith but the One your faith rests on.
How can I strengthen my faith?
Faith grows by feeding on God's Word (Romans 10:17), by remembering His past faithfulness, by honest prayer that brings your doubts to Him rather than away from Him, and by walking with other believers. It also grows simply by using it, taking the next small step of trust. This plan gives your faith something true to hold each day.
Is it normal for faith to feel weak sometimes?
Yes. Many of the strongest believers in Scripture, including John the Baptist and the psalmists, had seasons of doubt and struggle. Faith is not a constant feeling but a direction, turning toward God again and again. Weak faith in a strong Savior is still saving faith.
