A Bible reading plan for
The Book of Romans
16 days, one chapter a day
Romans is the grandest explanation of the gospel in the Bible, Paul's careful unfolding of how a holy God makes guilty people right with Himself through Jesus. This sixteen-day plan takes it one chapter a day, walking from the bad news of sin to the staggering good news of grace and the life it makes possible.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”Romans 1:16 (KJV)

A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
Romans is about nothing less than what God has done in Jesus Christ: how His death and resurrection justify the ungodly, defeat sin and death, and secure a love from which nothing can separate us. Read it slowly and let it land; there is no better sixteen days for understanding why the gospel is truly good news, and Who it is good news about.

What is the book of Romans about?
Romans is Paul's fullest explanation of the gospel: that all people have sinned, that God makes us right with Himself as a gift through faith in Jesus, that His Spirit gives new life, and that nothing can separate believers from God's love. It moves from humanity's need to God's rescue to how the rescued now live.
How long does it take to read Romans?
At one chapter a day, Romans' 16 chapters take just over two weeks. It is dense, so a chapter a day gives you time to absorb it. Chapters 3, 5, 6, 8, and 12 are especially rich and worth lingering over.
Why is Romans so important?
Because it lays out the heart of the Christian gospel more fully than any other letter, and it has sparked renewal again and again through history. Reading it carefully gives you a solid grasp of grace, faith, and the new life in Christ, which is why many consider it essential reading for every believer.
