A Bible reading plan for
Knowing Who You Are in Christ
7 days of who you now are
If your sense of worth rises and falls with your performance or others' approval, this seven-day plan gives you steadier ground. It walks through what God says is now true of everyone in Christ: chosen, forgiven, adopted, a new creation, so your identity rests on His unchanging word, not your shifting feelings.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
The plan, day by day
Day 1
Chosen, accepted, redeemed, sealed. Read the long list of what is already yours in Christ, and let it sink in.
Day 2
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away; you are not defined by the old you.
Day 3
To as many as received Him, He gave power to become the sons of God. You are family, not a distant admirer.
Day 4
The Spirit itself beareth witness that we are the children of God. Heirs of God, joint-heirs with Christ. This is your standing.
Day 5
A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people. This is who God says you are together.
Day 6
I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. Your true life is Christ Himself.
Day 7
Your life is hid with Christ in God. Safe, secure, and defined by Him, not by your worst day or best day.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
Everything true of your new identity is true because you are in Christ. His death paid your debt, His righteousness is counted as yours, His Father is now your Father. You do not build this identity by effort; you receive it by faith. The question is no longer who am I, but whose am I, and the answer is: His.

What does it mean to have your identity in Christ?
It means your deepest sense of who you are and what you are worth is rooted in what God says about you in Jesus, chosen, forgiven, adopted, loved, and made new (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1), rather than in your performance, your past, or other people's opinions.
What does the Bible say I am in Christ?
Among many things: a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), a child of God (John 1:12, Romans 8:16), chosen and accepted (Ephesians 1), forgiven (Colossians 2:13), and free from condemnation (Romans 8:1). These are stated as facts to believe, not feelings to manufacture.
How does knowing my identity in Christ help me?
It gives you stable ground when feelings, failures, and criticism try to define you. When your worth rests on God's unchanging word rather than your changing performance, you can face both success and failure without being ruled by either. This plan helps you soak in those truths daily.
