A Bible reading plan for
Singleness
7 days for a full life now
Whether singleness is a season you are content in or one you are aching through, this seven-day plan speaks to it honestly. It points away from the lie that life begins when a relationship does, toward a full life with God right now, in which you are already completely loved and given real purpose.

The plan, day by day
Day 1
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Let God be the first delight.
Day 2
Paul honors singleness as a gift with its own freedom to serve God wholeheartedly. It is not a lesser state.
Day 3
You are fully known and fully loved by God, right now, not only when someone else knows you. Your worth is settled.
Day 4
I have learned in whatsoever state I am to be content. Contentment is learned in this season, whatever it holds.
Day 5
For thy Maker is thine husband. God's covenant love meets the deepest place of longing and belonging.
Day 6
In thy presence is fulness of joy. The fullest joy is found in God's presence, available to you today.
Day 7
Seek ye first the kingdom of God. A single life, poured into what matters most, is a rich and whole life.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
Jesus lived a full, single life, the most complete human life ever lived, and He is enough to satisfy the deepest longing of your heart. Whatever your future holds, in Christ you are already fully loved, fully known, and part of a family. Delight in Him, and He tends the desires of your heart with a Father's wisdom and love.

What does the Bible say about being single?
It treats singleness as a good and honorable state, not a waiting room. Paul, himself single, calls it a gift with unique freedom to serve God (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). Scripture roots every believer's worth and belonging in God, so a single life can be completely full, purposeful, and loved.
How do I find contentment while single?
Contentment comes not from getting what you want but from delighting in God (Psalm 37:4) and learning, as Paul did, to be content in any state (Philippians 4:11). It grows as you invest in real purpose and community now, rather than putting life on hold. Your life is not on pause; God is at work in it today.
Is it wrong to want to be married?
No. The desire for marriage is a good gift, and it is honest to bring that longing to God. The Bible does not shame it. It simply invites you not to let an unmet desire steal the fullness God has for you now, and to trust Him, who knows your heart, with your future.
