What happens when I die?

In short

Christians believe death is not the end. Everyone will live forever somewhere; those who trust Jesus are welcomed into eternal life with God, and Jesus' own resurrection is the promise that death has been defeated for all who are His.

The Bible teaches that we are made for eternity, and that after death comes judgment, but also that Jesus took that judgment for all who trust Him. For the believer, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

The question that matters is not only what happens when you die, but who you belong to now. You can settle that today.

What Scripture says

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

John 11:25 (KJV)

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)
