Can Jesus Love Someone Like Me?
Whatever put that question in your mind, the past you cannot undo, the thing you are ashamed of, the sense that you are somehow the exception to grace, the answer of the Gospels is a steady and specific yes. Jesus made a promise so wide that it leaves no one out who will come: him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. In no wise means by no means, under no circumstance, for no reason. There is no category of person He has quietly excluded, no version of you too far gone. The very fact that you are asking means He is already drawing you, and He does not draw people in order to turn them away.

What the Gospels actually show
Remember the son in Jesus's story who demanded his inheritance, wasted it on the worst kind of living, and came home in rags expecting to be treated as a servant. While he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck. The father ran. That is the picture Jesus painted of God receiving someone who was sure they had forfeited every right to love. And to a woman the crowd wanted to stone, Jesus said, neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more. He offered His most tender words to the person others thought least deserved them.
Why this drew people to Him
The reason this lands so deep is that shame always specializes; it whispers that grace is real but not for you, that you are the exception. Jesus dismantles the exception. He did not love in general and avoid the difficult cases; the difficult cases were His favorites. The more disqualified a person felt, the more at home they seemed to become in His presence. That is why people who had given up on themselves found in Him a love that treated them as worth running toward. If He loved a traitor like Matthew, a persecutor like Paul, and a woman with a village-sized reputation, then someone like you is not a stretch for His heart. You are the point of it.
Come to this Jesus
So take the promise personally, because it was made for exactly this moment. Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. There is no asterisk with your name on it. The love of Jesus is not a reward for the qualified; it is a rescue for the lost, and if you feel lost, you are not outside His reach; you are within His aim. Come to Him honestly, the whole tangled truth of you, and you will find the Father already running, already glad, already yours. Someone like you is precisely who He came to find.

What if I have done something truly unforgivable?
The New Testament knows of no sin too large for the cross except the settled refusal to come to Christ at all. Paul called himself the chief of sinners and was fully received. If you are worried you have gone too far, that very worry is a sign the door is still open. Bring the worst of it to Jesus; His mercy is deeper than your worst.
Why do I feel like grace is for everyone but me?
Because shame is a liar that specializes in your name. It grants grace in general and denies it in your particular case. Jesus refuses that exception. His promise to cast out no one who comes was made precisely for the person who feels like the exception. Believe His words over shame's.
How do I actually come to Him?
Simply and honestly. You do not need perfect words or feelings. Turn toward Him in prayer, tell Him the truth about yourself, and ask Him to receive you. You can also ask someone to pray with you. The coming is not a performance; it is a person turning home, and He meets that turn every time.
