Generosity in Scripture is less a transaction than a reflection of God's own character, the one who gave before we ever asked. The deepest answer is Jesus

Every act of generosity echoes the greatest gift ever given, God sending his own Son for people who could never repay him. Giving becomes worship when it points, even quietly, back to that gift.
