What Does ‘Faithfulness’ Mean in the Bible?

Faithfulness is steady, reliable loyalty: God's unwavering commitment to keep His promises, and the trustworthy devotion He grows in His people.

Faithfulness describes a love you can lean on. Of God, it means He is utterly dependable: He keeps His word, honors His covenants, and does not abandon His people, even when they are unfaithful. His mercies are new every morning, and great is His faithfulness.

In His people, faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit: staying true over the long haul, keeping commitments, being trustworthy in small things and large. It is less about intense feeling and more about showing up, again and again, in love.
