An open door, in His own voice
Whosoever Will, Let Him Come
The whole Bible ends not with a warning but with an open door and a single word: come. After everything, the last invitation is the widest one imaginable. The Spirit and the Bride say come, and then it opens even further to whoever is thirsty, whoever wishes, come and take the water of life freely. There is no fine print, no hidden cost, no list of the qualified. If you are thirsty, you are invited. If some part of you wishes for more than this life has given, that longing itself is your welcome. And Jesus once promised that anyone who comes to Him He will never turn away. Whatever brought you here, however uncertain you feel, the door is standing open and the word is spoken to you: come.

Where He said it
At the very close of the Bible, in its final chapter, the invitation rings out like a great chorus. The Spirit and the Bride, meaning the Church, together say come. Then the one who hears is told to add their own voice and say come as well. The circle keeps widening until it reaches everyone who is thirsty, inviting them to come, and then wider still to whoever wishes, offering the water of life without price. It is a fitting end to the whole story of Scripture, opening its arms as far as they can reach. Earlier Jesus had made a promise that fits this moment perfectly: everyone the Father gives Him will come, and the one who comes to Him He will never drive away. The book closes with grace held out to all.
What He is inviting you into
Jesus is inviting you to come and drink deeply, freely, without earning or paying a thing. The water of life is offered to the thirsty, which means the only qualification is need, and everyone has that. This invitation is about grace that costs you nothing because it already cost Him everything. You are not asked to prove your worthiness, to fix yourself first, or to arrive with anything in your hands. You are asked only to be thirsty and to come. And notice how safe the coming is. Jesus promised He would never cast out the one who comes to Him, so you can approach without fear of being sent away. He is inviting you into a life where your deepest thirst finally finds its spring, and where the welcome is not fragile but sure, freely given and never withdrawn.
The door is still open today
This is the last word of the whole Bible, and it is come. Not clean yourself up and then come, not become worthy and then come, just come. The water is free because Jesus already paid for it with His life. If you are thirsty, that is enough; your thirst is your invitation. And here is the promise to steady you: Jesus said the one who comes to Him He will never, ever cast out. There is no version of coming to Him that ends in rejection. You cannot come wrong. Whatever you carry, whatever you doubt, however many times you have hesitated, the door has not closed and the offer has not expired. The Spirit says come. The Church says come. And now, hearing this, you can say it too. Come to Jesus, and drink. He is waiting, and He will not turn you away.

Is this invitation really for someone like me?
Yes. The invitation reaches as wide as words can stretch, to whoever is thirsty, to whoever wishes. There is no group left out and no qualification but need. If you are drawn to come, that drawing is itself the welcome. The offer is deliberately open to all, which certainly includes you, exactly as you are right now, with nothing to prove first.
What does it cost to receive this water of life?
Nothing on your part. It is offered freely, because Jesus already paid the full price with His own life. You do not buy it, earn it, or deserve it; you simply receive it with open hands. And Jesus promised never to cast out anyone who comes to Him, so you can come without fear of being turned away. The only thing asked of you is to come and take it.
