Qur’an 9:31

Surah The Repentance (At-Tawba) · verse 31

“They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)”

How this connects to Jesus

This passage calls Jesus ‘the Messiah’ (al-Masih). Christians confess Jesus as Messiah too, and mean by it the anointed King and Saviour foretold by the Hebrew prophets, a fuller meaning of the same title.
