Revelation Chapter 22, Explained
Revelation 22 is the last chapter of the Bible, and it reads like a homecoming. John sees the river of the water of life flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, and the tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. The curse of Genesis 3 is finally undone, and God's servants will see His face and reign with Him forever.
The chapter, and the Bible, ends with an invitation and a promise. Jesus says three times that He is coming soon, and He calls Himself the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. The Spirit and the bride say, come, and whoever is thirsty is invited to take the water of life freely. The church answers with a longing prayer: Amen, even so, come, Lord Jesus.
