The question still finds us. We chase promotions, relationships, approval, distraction, and often we could not say plainly what we are really after underneath it all. Jesus does not shame the seeking. He asks us to name it, because a longing brought into the light can finally be met. He does not answer their question with a lecture; He says, Come and see.

Sit with it

If Jesus turned and asked you today what you are seeking, what would you say, if you told the truth?

Lord, You know what I am really looking for better than I do. Help me to be honest about my longing, and to bring it to You. Amen.
