Psalm 49 Meaning
Psalm 49 is a wisdom psalm about the limits of riches. It calmly observes that the wealthy cannot take their money past the grave and that no amount of gold can ransom a single life from death.
Yet it holds a bright hope: God will ransom the psalmist's soul from the power of the grave and receive him. Real security is not in wealth but in God.
