Psalm 129 remembers how greatly God's people have been afflicted from their youth, plowed upon like a field, yet never overcome, for the righteous LORD cut the cords of the wicked.
It asks that all who hate Zion be turned back and come to nothing, like grass on the rooftops that withers.
