Psalm 103 Meaning
Psalm 103 is a soaring song of gratitude. David tells his own soul to bless the LORD and forget none of His benefits: He forgives all our sins, heals our diseases, and crowns us with steadfast love and mercy.
It marvels that God does not deal with us according to our sins, and that as far as the east is from the west, so far He removes our transgressions. As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.
It sets our fleeting life, like grass that flowers and fades, against God's steadfast love that is from everlasting to everlasting. The psalm ends calling angels, hosts, and all creation to join the praise.
