Living Bread is a Christ-centered Kingdom network. We hold your trust as sacred and collect only what is needed to help the family pray for, serve, and love one another. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, who it's shared with, and the control you have.
Information we collect
- Account: your name, email and/or phone number (for sign-in), and the profile you create: bio, testimony, church, spiritual gifts, favorite verse, photo, links.
- Content you create: posts, prayers, testimonies, direct messages, journal entries, Bible highlights and notes, Serve listings and bookings, gatherings, and faith-activity logs.
- Approximate location (only if you allow it): used to show nearby acts of love, needs, and believers, and to place Serve listings. We store an approximate (about 1 km) location by default; you can choose precise, approximate, or hidden at any time.
- Device push token (only if you enable notifications): to deliver the notifications you opt into.
- Time abiding: time spent in the app is counted as "time abiding," stored only on your device, never uploaded.
- Social account connections (only if you connect one): access tokens are stored only in your device's secure keychain, never on our servers. We never post, message, or read your private social data; only public engagement on content you choose is counted, and only with your consent.
How your information is used
- To operate the features you use (feed, prayer, Serve, map, church discovery, gatherings, witness tracker).
- To send notifications you've enabled. Sabbath mode suppresses all push except crisis/SOS.
- Church testimonies are reviewed by a human moderator before publishing, and are never scored or ranked.
- To keep the community safe (moderation of reported content, blocking).
Service providers we share with
We do not sell your data. We share only what's necessary with providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage (protected by row-level security).
- Anthropic (Claude): powers "Simon"; messages you send are processed to generate a response.
- Stripe: processes gifts/payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Mapbox: map imagery for the Kingdom Map.
- Expo: push notification delivery and app updates.
- API.Bible (if configured): to stream licensed Bible translations you select.
- Social platforms (only ones you connect): to read public engagement on your own content, via official consented sign-in.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never post, message, or access private data on your social accounts.
- We never expose your private journal or confessions in any feed or aggregate; they are enforced as owner-only at the database level.
- We never covertly track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your controls and rights
- Edit or hide your location, profile visibility, and notification preferences in Settings.
- Delete your account any time in Settings, then Delete account: this permanently removes your account and data, and cannot be undone.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
- On Apple devices we show the system App Tracking Transparency prompt and honor your choice.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your rows is enforced at the database level (row-level security), so other users cannot read your private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your trust.
Children
Living Bread is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
