There is hope

When you wonder if there is any hope left

If you are thinking about ending your life, or you are in danger right now, please reach out this moment. You matter.

You do not have to carry this alone, and you do not have to decide anything about faith to reach out for help.

If you are wondering whether there is any hope left, please stay with this for a moment. You are not alone, and help is here right now. Hope can feel impossible when the dark is this heavy, and yet it is real, and it can find you. You matter, and things can change.

When hope feels gone, it usually is not gone, only buried under exhaustion and pain. Please let someone help you carry it until you can feel it again. Reach out for the real help above; care from a counselor and care for your spirit were always meant to go together. And gently: God draws near to the brokenhearted. You are loved, and there is hope for you.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

You do not have to find your way alone. See all the ways to find help now, or ask someone to quietly pray with you. You do not have to explain anything.

A couple of gentle questions

What do I do right now?
If the hopelessness feels unbearable or you are thinking of harming yourself, please reach out this moment. In the US, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Outside the US, contact your local emergency number or a local crisis line.
Can I get help without being religious?
Yes, absolutely. The crisis lines are free, confidential, and there for everyone, whatever you believe. You do not have to decide anything about faith to reach out and be helped.

You are loved. Please stay.
