For churches

Claim Your Church

If your church already has a public profile on The Living Bread, it was built from public information, and it stays unclaimed until someone from your church claims it. Claiming means a verified church leader takes control of the profile so the hours, address, service times, and beliefs are accurate. It is free, no church is charged to appear or to rank, and we are an independent Christian discovery platform, not your church’s official website.

Why a public profile may already exist

To help a searching person find a real church near them, we assemble a factual profile from public sources: a map listing, an official church website, a public directory. That profile is a public record. It is not a claim that your church has partnered with us, and it is not yours until you claim it. Until then, it simply says what public information already says, with its sources shown.

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”
1 Corinthians 12:27

The four profile states, plainly

Public RecordBuilt from public information (like a map listing or an official website). Not yet claimed. No one at the church controls it, and we do not imply any partnership.
ClaimedA verified church leader or admin now controls the profile and keeps its details accurate. The church, not us, is the authority on its own information.
VerifiedThe claimant’s affiliation with the church has been independently confirmed by our team. A verified badge means we checked, not that the church endorses everything here.
PartnerThe church has voluntarily opted into deeper participation (for example events, sermons, or a first-time-visitor flow). This is always a choice, never assumed, and never required to be found or to rank.

What claiming lets you do

Correct the address, service times, and contact details. State your church’s beliefs and affiliation in your own words. Add a welcome for first-time visitors. Remove anything that is out of date. You are never asked to pay, and declining any feature never changes whether people can find you.

Frequently asked questions

Does a profile mean my church already partnered with The Living Bread?
No. A public profile is built from public information and is unclaimed until someone from the church claims it. It never implies a partnership. Only churches that voluntarily claim and opt in are partners.
Is The Living Bread my church's official website?
No. We are an independent Christian discovery platform that helps people find local churches. Your church remains the sole authority on its own information, and claiming your profile is how you keep it accurate here.
Does it cost anything to claim or to rank higher?
No. Claiming is free, and no church is ever charged to appear or to rank. Ranking is based on relevance and distance to the searcher, never on payment.

We serve the Church, we do not replace it

The Living Bread is an independent Christian discovery platform, not any church’s official website. We exist so that a person searching in the dark can find a real, local family of believers near them, and so that your church can be found accurately, on your own terms. If a profile is yours, claim it and it is yours to keep true. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. That is the whole promise.

“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Acts 2:47
