Science and Christian faith are not at war; many working scientists are believers, and the conviction that the universe is orderly and knowable helped give birth to science in the first place. Science asks how the physical world works; the question of Jesus is about meaning, history, and whether the universe has an Author. You can pursue both with the same honesty.

A scientific mind is trained to withhold assent until the evidence is in, to distrust wishful thinking, and to follow the data. Those are virtues, not obstacles. The idea that you must choose between the lab and the Gospel is a modern story, not a settled fact, and plenty of accomplished scientists have found no such conflict.

Different questions, not rival ones

Science answers questions of mechanism: how the cell divides, how the galaxies formed. The claim of Jesus belongs to a different order of question: is there meaning, is there an Author, did a particular man rise from the dead in history. The Scriptures themselves treat the order of the cosmos as something that points beyond itself.
