What Does the Bible Say About Self-Love?

The Bible assumes a basic care for ourselves and even builds the command to love our neighbour on it, love your neighbour as yourself, while warning against a self-love that becomes pride or self-worship. The healthiest self-regard flows from knowing we are loved and made by God, freeing us to care for ourselves and pour out for others.
