License Agreement

This End User License Agreement is the permission we grant you to use The Living Bread, and the promises we make to keep this family safe. By downloading or using the app, you agree to it, together with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

The license we grant you

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use The Living Bread on devices you own or control, for your own worship, prayer, and fellowship. This license is not a sale; we and our licensors keep all rights in the app itself. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the app, or use it to break the law or harm anyone.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or for abusive behavior toward other people here. Do not post what is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, deceptive, or unlawful, and never anything that exploits or endangers anyone, above all a child. Content that sexualizes or endangers a minor is removed, the account is ended, and it is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and law enforcement. Using this app means you agree to these standards, and you agree that you alone are responsible for the content you create and share.

Report content and users

You can flag or report any content or any person with one tap, from the post, the message, or the profile. Reports are reviewed by a person, and content or accounts that break this agreement are acted on within 24 hours: objectionable content is removed and the user who posted it is ejected. If we get it wrong, contact us through the support address and we will look again.

Block anyone

You can block any user at any time, instantly and completely. Blocking hides their content from you and stops them from contacting you. You never owe anyone your attention or your presence, and you never need a reason to block.

We may remove content and end accounts

We may remove any content and restrict, suspend, or terminate any account that breaks this agreement, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines, with the goal of protection, never humiliation. We may do so to keep people safe, to obey the law, or to protect the app. Serious harm is reported to the authorities.

Your content and your rights

What you create is yours. You grant us the license needed to store your content and show it to the people you share it with, so the app can work, and nothing more. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it. You can edit or delete your content, and delete your whole account in Settings; deletion is complete and permanent.

Simon is an AI

Simon is an artificial intelligence companion, not Christ, not clergy, not a therapist, and not infallible; he can make mistakes, including in quoting Scripture, and he speaks with no divine authority. Everything in this app is spiritual encouragement, not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and never a substitute for your doctor, therapist, lawyer, pastor, or church.

The app is provided as-is

We work hard to keep the Kingdom running, but the app is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties, and to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the acts of other users, or for third-party services. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Apple and other app stores

If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, this agreement is between you and Living Bread, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo or on a prohibited-parties list, and you agree to comply with all applicable app-store terms.

Changes and contact

If this agreement changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Questions: the support contact on our App Store listing or living-bread.org.

This agreement is provided in good faith and in plain language; it is not legal advice. If you operate this app, have counsel review and localize it before public launch.
