Embed Living Bread on your church website

Four small widgets, one line each. They are free, they carry no ads, and they do not track the people who see them. A visitor who taps a card arrives at Living Bread, where we count the visit as a number (never a person, never a name).

What they promise

Pray With Our Community

A calm card that invites a visitor to pray with a real community, free. Give it your church id and the button opens your church's page on Living Bread.

Paste this

<script src="https://living-bread.org/embed/v1/pray.js" data-church="0b9d2f0e-1d3a-4f6a-9c9b-3b2d6c1b8a11" data-name="Grace Church" data-lang="en" data-theme="light" data-campaign="grace-website" async></script>

Join Our Christian Community

The same card, for a church or ministry that wants to be found by people looking for a Christian community. Honest: it links to your page, it does not enrol anyone.

Paste this

<script src="https://living-bread.org/embed/v1/join.js" data-church="0b9d2f0e-1d3a-4f6a-9c9b-3b2d6c1b8a11" data-lang="en" async></script>

Scripture for Today

A verse of the day, rotating by date, from the stored King James Version (public domain), attributed on the card. Nothing is typed from memory.

Paste this

<script src="https://living-bread.org/embed/v1/scripture.js" data-lang="en" data-theme="auto" async></script>

Bring a Prayer Request

Your people can ask for prayer from your own site, into the approved workflow your ministry already runs on Living Bread. It needs the site key your ministry was given (it begins lbs_). Without a key it shows a plain message and nothing else.

Paste this

<script src="https://living-bread.org/embed/v1/request.js" data-site="lbs_your_key_here" async></script>

Options

Content Security Policy

If your site sends a Content Security Policy, this is everything these widgets need:

script-src 'self' https://living-bread.org;
frame-src https://discover.living-bread.org;   /* only if you use request.js */
/* No connect-src, img-src, font-src or style-src entry is needed for these widgets. */

The widgets build their stylesheet with the browser's stylesheet API, so you do not need to allow inline styles for them. request.js is the only one that opens a frame, and only to discover.living-bread.org.

Versions and integrity

/embed/v1/ may receive fixes that keep the same behaviour. /embed/v1.0.0/ never changes. If your policy requires Subresource Integrity, pin the exact version and its hash:

<script src="https://living-bread.org/embed/v1.0.0/pray.js" integrity="sha384-8XFEWUOWGssV3d/uD3RuPWE2N2HtPq6igzgOXkfh/DO5iGt9NLhgfOd9bS7nOS0z" crossorigin="anonymous" async></script>

Hashes for every file: pray.js sha384-8XFEWUOWGssV3d/uD3RuPWE2N2HtPq6igzgOXkfh/DO5iGt9NLhgfOd9bS7nOS0z, join.js sha384-dcubtMTJFNfRVgcJ7rQJ/mF3wDlkwxAM86zDpf1mBv9VBVNgGs8Zm7RlOzJLpCJe, scripture.js sha384-vDN9ZpG6kON8MfhmdeKriUjY0qtQl4e1arKQjiT5ns334Yz4luTduBmsmQExfB1Y, request.js sha384-RqxDkGQeBBkHuo57nU0YGH8FTEk6C2KkOSgpaGM5Bo1pKNMzLG80ZYww2aUxKZs+.

Counting, honestly

Living Bread counts a tap on a card as one visit with your campaign label. It does not count how many people saw the card on your page, because the script never calls us. A visit is not a person, and it is not a conversion. Numbers under ten are never shown.
