What Deuteronomy 31:8 means
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. God goes ahead into the future we cannot see, and he stays beside us in the present we can. Because he will neither fail nor forsake, fear loses its grip; the ground before you is already covered by his presence.
