Saint Patrick's Day

Ireland, and wherever the Irish have gone · March 17

Saint Patrick's Day honors the missionary who carried the gospel to Ireland in the fifth century. Beneath the parades is the memory of a man who forgave his captors and returned to bring them Christ, and who used the shamrock to teach the Trinity.

How it is celebrated

It is marked with parades, wearing green, and church services; at its heart is thanksgiving for the good news brought to a whole people.

In the Word

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Matthew 28:19 (KJV)
