Some of the New Testament was written from a prison cell, by a man who found that no chain could bind the freedom Christ had given him. The gospel goes to places society gives up on, because Jesus came for exactly such people, and He is not ashamed of anyone who turns to Him. Whatever a person has done, they are not beyond His grace. Real freedom, the kind that reaches the soul even behind bars, is found in the One who came to set the captives free.
