What does the Bible really teach about angels? Scripture shows us created spiritual beings who worship God, carry his messages, guard his people, and fight against the powers of darkness, from Michael and Gabriel to the cherubim and seraphim. And just as clearly, the Bible is restrained: it tells us enough to trust God and never enough to make angels the center of our attention. What the Bible reveals, and what it does not
The angels are glorious, but Scripture never lets them become the point. They refuse worship and say, Worship God. They announce the Savior and step aside. They minister to God’s people and leave the glory with the Lord who sends them. Where the Bible speaks plainly, these pages hold it firmly; where it draws a curtain, they leave it drawn, resisting the superstition that has always grown up around angels.
